When you first think of a church wedding, you think of stained glass windows and pews. However, Lindsay and Alex’s modern Fall wedding in West Chester, Pennsylvania was far more beautiful than anything I could ever have imagined. Floor-to-ceiling windows, tons of natural light, and a couple madly in love and ready to get married. What could be better than that?
Providence Church is absolutely stunning and was the perfect place for Lindsay and Alex to get married. Providence Church, formerly known as 430 West Events is an absolutely stunning space. The location and structure of the church and the surrounding area made it perfect for their wedding and portraits, which made the AKP team so excited to be there to celebrate their big day. It’s unfortunate that today, they no longer take on any weddings and events as they pursue new ventures. Regardless, it was the absolute perfect space for Lindsay and Alex and it was definitely was a one-of-a-kind memorable venue.
We arrived at the church just as everyone was putting their final touches on their wedding looks. Lindsay was finalizing her hair & makeup and about to slip into her gorgeous dress. Actually, this dress was her mom’s wedding dress and was altered to fit Lindsay. How stinkin’ cute is that! I love small touches like wearing her mom’s wedding dress to make the day just that much more intimate and special.
Lindsay and Alex’s wedding day centered around blue hues and bright and vibrant florals. You could find touches of these in their bouquets, Alex’s tie, and the centerpieces and decor in their reception space. It was the perfect blend where there was just enough pop of color to make it eye-catching without being distracting. LOVED everything about it.
Throughout the day it was evident how much love surrounded Lindsay and Alex. Through sweet and private first-look moments with Lindsay and her bridesmaids, to then with her future hubby Alex. It was apparent just how much happiness was there that day. Even throughout the ceremony, you could see tears and hear sniffles as friends and family watched two people come together as one.
Their reception consisted of sweet treats which include a cookie table filled with some of the most delectable desserts. A dance floor that left DWTS to shame and of course, two newlyweds ready to take on the world by storm. No better way to end a day if you ask me!
