Frank and Michelle’s Pennsylvania wedding at Holly Hedge Estate was one filled with sweet memories, some insanely gorgeous weather, and good company. Even though the summer heat was approaching us, we were ready to take it head-on on this beautiful June day.
The Holly Hedge Estate is a premier wedding & event venue located in New Hope, Pennsylvania. This is a family-run and family-owned event space. Rustic elegance is all wrapped into this beautifully preserved 18th-century farm and estate. Today, the goal of Holly Hedge Estate is to share the preserved excellence of this beautiful estate with the rest of the world. Now before I deep dive further into Frank and Michelle’s day, I have a secret to spill. Okay, maybe it’s not really a secret but… Michelle was actually 4 months pregnant on the day of her wedding! Despite this, you would never even know because of how drop-dead gorgeous she looked – as always of course. It’s because of this that you may notice some special details like their sonogram incorporated throughout their wedding details.
This morning was a rather calm morning as Michelle finished getting ready. What seems to get overlooked a lot on wedding days is the getting ready prep. The morning of your wedding can be filled with a lot of last-minute decisions and back and forth, and the last thing you want is to be feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Who you surround yourself with on your wedding day especially the morning of, will tremendously affect your mood for the remainder of the day. Moral of the story: surround yourself with people who love and care about you and want to support you during this moment.
As some of you may know by now, all AKP packages include a second photographer. In our eyes, having a second photographer on your wedding day is essential. It not only gives a different perspective of different moments throughout your wedding day, but it can help bridge the gap where we normally wouldn’t be able to be in two places at once. While I was with Michelle completing her final touches, our second photographer, Lily, was over with Frank at his house getting ready.

So I have to say, Frank and Michelle’s first look is just about as cute as it gets. First looks already have me tearing up 99.99% of the time, so as soon as Michelle began walking toward Frank I knew it was all over. He turned around and it was as if he were seeing her for the first time. He was truly smitten by how stunning and glowing she looked and it read all throughout his face.
Holly Hedge Estate offers indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony. Luckily for us, the weather was absolutely beautiful so Frank and Michelle had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. I do have to say that Holly Hedge Estate really outdid themselves with just how stunning the landscaping was. It really made you feel transported back to that timeless elegance they try so hard to preserve. It wouldn’t be fair if I also didn’t bring up how beautifully the wedding party coordinated. The groomsmen wore their navy blue suits to pair with the bridesmaid’s baby blue dresses from Azazie. The baby blue dresses matched the baby blue tulle hidden underneath Michelle’s dress. Pure and utter perfection if you ask me!
Prior to the ceremony, we did walk around the grounds of the Holly Hedge Estate. However, I always like to discuss with my couples if they would like to sneak away during cocktail hour or reception to get some golden hour photos. Frank and Michelle were ready for about anything, so I snuck them off to get a few golden hour and early evening portraits. Since it was getting darker, the outdoor garden space and patio were lined with twinkling lights. It really gave off a Cinderella moment, truly. The chemistry, love, and connection that these two have for each other absolutely radiated and were evident throughout all of their images.
We ended the night enjoying some first dances on the dance floor and eating some delicious cake before it was time for us to pack up and head home for the night. As for Frank and Michelle today? They have since given birth to a beautiful baby girl named Eleanor and are living their best lives. Yay for happy endings 🙂
