Georgette and Steve inquired with me in July of last year and knew right off the bat exactly the look they were going for, for their engagement session. Georgette and Steve had the most amazing Delaware Engagement at Nemours Estate! It was the perfect location for a light and airy space with plenty of greenery and backdrops (just wait until you see all of these gorgeous photos.)
A little back story on the Nemours Estate. This estate sits on 200 acres of French-inspired formal gardens, grounds, and woodlands in Wilmington, Delaware. Situated is the Nemours Estate which is home to 77 rooms. So it’s safe to say it’s pretty big lol. While Nemours Estate, unfortunately, does not open its doors for weddings or receptions, it makes for the perfect backdrop for engagement photos.
Many questions when it comes to taking engagement photos at locations such as this one, surround permits. In this case, are photos permitted at the Nemours Estate? Taken from the Nemours Estate official site
“Professional and group photo shoots are not permitted in the Mansion. Large equipment, props and costumes, and use of facilities are not allowed”
That essentially means that while you aren’t allowed to take photos within the mansion itself, the grounds are fair game. As long as you don’t bring equipment that is disturbing or invasive to the property, then everything is all set to go.
You will need to purchase a ticket in order to have access to the grounds. Tickets currently for adults are $20. Buy your ticket to the Nemours Estate here.
Georgette and Steve’s engagement session mainly consisted of us exploring the beautiful grounds and gardens of the Nemours Estate. The weather was absolutely beautiful seeing that were given the small reminisce of summer weather before Fall officially started. Georgette wore this beautiful floral lace midi dress which was the perfect blend of elegance and free-flowing. Steve wore a mid-tone blue jacket which paired beautifully with Georgette’s dress. We even had time to do a quick outfit change into something a bit more formal which essentially gives us the look of two separate shoots in one. Georgette even whipped out her custom pearl studded denim jacket that was engraved with her soon-to-be last name. It was the perfect amount of edginess and looked absolutely stunning with her shorter dress.
Congratulations once again to Georgette and Steve and I can’t wait for the AKP to continue celebrating them at their wedding in June 2024!
