Blue Bell Country Club Fall Wedding

You know there are some couples that the AKP team gets to work with that just make our hearts swoon. In all actuality, that is all of our couples! Thankfully we have been given such amazing opportunities to capture so many different couples’ love stories all throughout Pennsylvania. One that is especially exciting to share today is Julia and Dan’s Blue Bell Country Club Fall Wedding. It was every neutral lover’s dream and I don’t think I will ever get over how perfect the day was. What’s even more amazing is that Julia & Dan’s wedding was actually featured by Shine Wedding Invitations! To check out that feature, click here!

Blue Bell Country Club

Julia and Dan had their wedding hosted at the Blue Bell Country Club here in Pennsylvania. BBCC prides itself on premiere service and exquisite landscaping to impress any guests that attend. Now within the Blue Bell Country Club is their event space called The Bell of Blue Bell. It’s here that timeless elegance meets trendy sophistication as couples from far and wide head to this sought-after wedding venue. Stunning chandeliers hugging the ceilings and elegant woodwork are the perfect pair to what makes this venue such a charmer. You’re supported by their attentive staff every step of the way so that no matter what, you’re being taken care of.

Throughout the venue, there are a plethora of different ceremony locations such as a private garden with a waterfront gazebo. I know, jealous right? After a fun-filled day of festivities, you’re able to meet up with your wedding guests at the Belle Ballroom. It’s here where you can hang out with up to 250 wedding guests in a spacious ballroom with PLENTY of dancing space. I started off that morning with Julia and her bridesmaids getting ready at the Normandy Farms Hotel. AKP’s second photographer, Jess, was with Dan and his groomsmen at his parent’s home as he was getting ready. Honestly, we’re so thankful that we get to have second photographers on days like these. Things can get crazy busy, crazy fast! To read more about why exactly you should have a second photographer on your wedding day, click here!

The attention to detail that went into making this day so beautiful truly doesn’t go unnoticed. Everything from the invitations, to the florals to the shoes all, came together so perfectly and truly captured Julia & Dan’s vision. The bridesmaids and Julia enjoyed sipping on some nice champagne on the bed prior to them getting ready and let me tell you… I suggest EVERYONE do this on your wedding day. If drinking isn’t your thing, totally cool too — opt for some sparkling apple cider instead!

It’s typically during this time that while we are in the zone taking as many photos as we can, we still take the time to talk with our couples and their guests and make them feel comfortable and welcome. Trust me when I say this makes the world of a difference. Before long, Julia was slipping into her dress, Dan was clipping in his cufflinks and we were off to do some first looks!

First Look(s)

While Dan and his groomsmen made their way to meet us at Normandy Farms, I was with Julia as she met up with her dad for her first look. First looks have grown increasingly in popularity over the years and we at AKP absolutely love them. However, we do understand why some may have their reserves. You want an element of surprise and you want to keep things traditional which are usual reasons as to why NOT to do a first look. One misconception about doing a first look is that then the moment walking down the aisle won’t be as special. Let us tell you that that is 100% not true. You can have a first look and still experience an emotional rollercoaster walking down the aisle, believe us we’ve seen it.

After Julia’s first look with her dad, we made our way to meet up with Dan for their first look. Just as you could imagine it was a beautifully touching moment, one filled with a lot of smiles and laughter. All the good corny lovey-dovey stuff we all love to see on your wedding day. Portraits

It can be so easy to get caught up in the moment that before we knew it, it was time to make our way to the venue! As soon as we arrived we deep dived right into wedding party portraits and were able to get a few solo portraits of the beautiful bride and groom to be. The weather was beautiful on this fine fall day, we couldn’t have asked for a better day for Julia and Dan to get married. As mentioned before, the Blue Bell Country Club has tremendous landscaping (perks of getting married where there is a golf course). I was able to whisk the two lovers away to get some beautiful photos in front of the fountains located on the property and some gorgeous light peaking in between the clouds. When I tell you it was perfect, it was PERFECT.

We also have to take a moment to appreciate how beautiful Julia’s dress looked on her. She wore this stunning dress by Rita Vinieris that flowed so elegantly around her. Essentially what we’re saying is that we had to make sure we took a few portraits of the beautiful bride.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Thanks to our well-thought-out timeline, we were able to swiftly transition into their beautiful outdoor ceremony. Timelines are essential when it comes to making sure everything on your wedding day runs smoothly. While working with the AKP team we ensure that we review our wedding timeline several times just so that we’re aware of start and end times throughout the day.

Tip: Make sure you’re as transparent as possible with your wedding photographer about what you want to be photographed on your wedding day. This is all taken into account with your coverage for the day and what you would like captured! Discussing this all plays a role in when we take your photos and for how long

Julia and Dan tied the knot and they were officially Mr & Mrs. Monk!

Reception

After the ceremony as the guests dispersed to cocktail hour, the AKP team stole Julia & Dan for some final golden hour portraits. Don’t get us wrong, we took a lot of portraits throughout the day but if there’s some time for some sunset photos we’re going to take them!

Shortly after it was time to take the party inside for their reception! The Blue Bell Country Club has a really beautiful indoor banquet space which was a perfect location for Julia and Dan’s reception. The night was filled was some tearful speeches and a TON of laughs and Dan getting whisked into the air by the wedding guests. It’s safe to say that this wedding day was a complete 10/10.

The AKP team is truly honored to have been a part of Julia and Dan’s special day. We take so much pride in providing the best of the best experiences for our couples and we’re beyond thrilled with how wonderful J+D’s day was. Let’s all say a huge congratulations to The Monks!!
